Is it possible to electronically remove the vowels in the speech without affecting the consonants?
Stressing consonants adds much more understanding of ordinary speech, much more than just full speech amplification consisting of vowels and consonants as is done in all hearing aids .. The fact is that the vowel in many cases impede or negate its ability to understand what said.
This is not true, my friend. Vowels are the markers between consonants and lend more to the understanding of the word you realize.They do not encroach on the consonants, either, and if you say "coarticulation", you'd be very surprised if it actually helps a lot to understand speech. Something more important is the reduction of ambient noise, and modern digital hearing aids are already doing.
