I would think we could get VERY simple shirt-pocket amps with built-in mic, and short-range Bluetooth output. Some DSP in this box, plug into PC port to adjust (basic only–volume, tonal peaks, …..). Box designed for best, latest Nimh or similar rechargeable AAA batteries. Buy any one of recommended (or generic, broad-choice rechargeable Over-Ear units. ‘Box’, cable to PC, software easily mass-produced, would help many people at circa $100 or less, plus you get your own Bluetooth OTE unit.
