Video Rating: 5 / 5
@CarlosNunezUSA It would really depend on your hearing loss and the level of noise in your listening environment. If you are more active and in different environments, the difference would be more noticeable.
I wonder if there is any noticeable difference between 501 and 701…can you tell?
@dmana3172 That’s great that you’re getting coverage from medicaid. I’m not too familiar with the Beltone Oria as I’m not a Belton provider, however, the Intuis has been a very good entry level hearing device with a lot of power.
@torontomapleleafer these do indeed have a good music program
@yozkin you are correct. The program used for speech and music are different because music often incorporates a wider frequency bandwidth and different amounts of amplitude in these frequencies when compared to speech. Music also incorporates a lot of tonal qualities. One of the biggest differences in the programs is that the music program does not typically have a feedback management system.
@HearingAidDocs I want to say that Medicaid is paying for my two hearing aids, and it is Intuis SP. I currently have Beltone Oria 12 channel hearing aids. Will the Intuis SP will sound better? Is it a good hearing aid? I have profound hearing loss.
I am hoping that these hearing aids will let me play music as well. The aids I had before were nice. The thing was when I was in band class at school, every time we started playing, I would have to take them out or they would squeal like a banshee. And then right after I would have to pop em back in. Hopefully, with all the new technology, they have fixed this ANNOYING issue. Can’t WAIT to get these babies, another month for them to make the order, and they’re mine! Wooo!
@yozkin Some of the new hearing devices ( with multiple programs) have the capability to incorporate a “music” program. Higher level phonak hearing aids have the capability to switch automatically to the music program when it recognizes it in the environment.
hello. As a musician I need hearing aids that have a separate music channel. From what I understand, the technology used to understand speech better, is not necessarily good for proper music listening, and most hearing aid companies do not seem to deal with this problem.
@yozkin You’re welcome! Let us know if we can help you in your decision making process!
I am in the process of buying new hearing aids-these videos are very helpful. Thanks for the info.
Will you be evaluating a Phonak Audeo Smart IX anytime soon? I went to you website and I see you still have the old YES IX’s on there instead of the new SMARTS.
I wonder how the SMART IX’s compare to these Pure 700′s.
I was searching for hearing aid videos on YouTube and came across your face! Hope the new company is doing well!
You’re very welcome! We’ll post the follow-up video here in a week and a half! Got some good info for you guys! Thanks for watching…
Thanks a lot for this review
