monitor audio rs6 and musical fidelity system

thought id do a quick video on my sound system includes 3 songs a mariah carey song for vocals a satana-europa song for instruments and up beats and a 3rd song of a soft rock song. Mariah was thru ipod touch. Santana was thru musical fidelity cd player. Last song thru TV. Did that way so hear that there is not much difference between the 3 as the amp does very well with them al obviously your not going to get the true sound of the musical fidelity and the monitor audio RS6′s hearing thru mic i’d advise taking your seperate to your colsest showroom and requesting a demo as any speakers will sound different on different amps and cd players. I cant reccomend seven oaks enough as always bought from them in the past the only 2 companies i trust are seven oaks and technosound both can be found just by googling them.

hell yer mate awesome dont come close always been bowen & wilkins fan but took the switch and boy are they good and unlike b&w and AE you can throw anything on them and sound amazing.

Great speakers, I’m considering the RS6′s as well. Have you auditioned the Gold Signature series (GS10 and GS20) and how they compare to the RS6′s? Are they worth the extra money?

  6. Psyco5talker says:

if money was no object than it would be the PL300′s but as they like the cost of a new car then the gs series are a nice speaker to forget the gs10 unless going in a very small room the gs20 is a very good speaker but i cannot fault the MA rs6 and rs8 rs8 is alot more punchier but i found the bass dulled out the treble so i think the rs6 is a good all rounder for £700 but also depends what system you putting it on summin like NAD or Musical fidelity they pitch very well on.

Cheers dude they are a awesome set of speakers and i have heard alot of speakers over time with likes of bose,b&o,B&W,AE,Mission and now monitor audio i have also heard the platinum series and OMG i was blown away but way way way to much money for me lol but the silvers are banging handled everything ive thrown at them so far. thanks for comments

i’ve heard the platinums too (pl300), damn i was shocked… so unbelievably airy, putting out the music on any volume level with such ease… i think i’m going to save some money they sound awesome (i know it’s a lot of money but the sound quality makes you totally forget the money, in fact when i listened to them i felt like i went to a gorgeous live concert for free!)
tnx for posting such a nice vid, hopefully it convinces people to buy some real quality speakers instead of bose…

  11. Psyco5talker says:

monitor audio have come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years and its nice to see such a good company aiming at all ranges of the scale to the general worker to the top notch rich guy unlike bose and b&o etc but yes very good speaker could have featured some better music but you get the general idea.

  12. h4x0y says:

yeah tnx for the vid, dont worry about the music it;s far better than boring excursion tests, 5 stars (in fact 6 stars for posting in HD)

I don’t know what’s wrong but the sound here is coming out very accoustic :(

  14. Psyco5talker says:

there is nothing wrong with acoustic what so ever and if by acoustic you mean the last 2 songs well they are both rock songs solely respective to guitars so obviously it will be primaraly acoustic. on a good system i’m not exactly going to chuck on drum and bass or crap rapping hip hop. Main reason posted songs i did was so could get rough idea of how clear the vocals are and how you can hear every note of the guitar and drums with very good clarity

  15. Marinejegerkommando says:

Hey, no offense man. What I ment was the quality of the video ;) and im sitting here with som standard laptop speakers lol… im concidering these speakers, the sound really nice, only positive feedback aso

  16. Psyco5talker says:

no offense taken, but maybe should have chosen better word than accoustic! lol maybe should have put im on crap laptop speakers hahaha :) but you wont go far wrong with these speakers it depends on the sound you are looking for really main speakers i looked at were the rs6,rs8 and the b&w cm7

  17. Marinejegerkommando says:

But I have a question. Speakers sounds different on different apmlifiers, what are you usin now?

  18. Psyco5talker says:

musical fidelity A300 integrated power amp and musical fidelity A3.2 cd player monitor audio rs6 speakers linked with QED silver XT speaker cable.

  19. skfdz says:

get those speakers off that back wall. poor set up. monitors suck, bright raspy things. this guy has a nice cd player though. nice set up, u should have went bowers & wilkins at least. monitors will make your ears bleed.

  20. Psyco5talker says:

i have had 5 sets of b&w’s i had the 601 (s2) the 602 (s2) and the 683 but i came to decision to change as was set on getting the new CM-9 but decided at last minute to change over to monitor audio instead. tested both on my MF cd player and MF mono amp and prefered the Monitor Audio.

  21. ThisBittterPill says:

Nice video….I bought the rs8s (the B&Ws simply didn’t sound as good!) and I am so happy with them….Although I must admit, I tend to stick to CDs rather then mp3s as they show up the compression a bit too much!….

  22. Psyco5talker says:

yes i must admit some mp3 can sound harsh but depends on the bitrate of the mp3 compression but if you use itunes to set the bitrate you desire as long as set bitrate @ above 192 kbits/s then you should not loose quality and also can use aac and ac3 instead of mp3 but never get clearer then cd as far as im concerned.

  23. edge160 says:

Monitor Audio are overpriced. Wharfedales have better price/performance.

  24. druffrider says:

to get the best from the speakers using your iphone you need to use an iphone preamplifier

  25. our power amplifiers are just homebrew stuffs but they are great sounding stuffs~`-
