This changed her life immediately: “I’m starting to think that I’m actually approaching what probably is natural normal hearing. What a wonderful story. Thanks so much for sharing this. You are so strong, courageous, & on point in describing the frustration of having to rely on someone else to hear for you. In social situations, I usually get a splitting headache from lip reading & trying so hard to hear. I get so tired, I actually look at other people’s faces to gauge what is the appropriate response, whether I should laugh, show surprise, etc.
