TINNITUS- Can you hear that?
Tinnitus-do you know what it is?- About 50 million people in the US know it, mostly kids, young people. Millions more outside the country. I am a first a music fan, musician and filmmaker. I am also a Tinnitus sufferer Chances are, your favorite rock, hip hop or country idol has this problem but tells you nothing! Play this loud (ironic isn’t it?) and you’ll see the nightmare that is TINNITUS and then think about your life style. TINNITUS- America’s new epidemic!
@scarred123 yep
I hear it, sucks because I have never gone to any night clubs or conserts or even listin to music loudly, most of the time im in a quiet room.
@scarred123 I think i know what you mean. I have tinnitus, and i can cope with it, i only really hear it in quite rooms and when i think about it when i sleep. But sometimes i get a very loud smooth ring which only lasts a few seconds
@scarred123 I don’t think that is tinitus, i get the same thing every now and then. My friends say they get it aswell sometimes.
@toicricky Yes. I’ve never been to a concert in my life. Yet I got my tinnitus because of medication for asthma. I wasn’t even warned it was a side effect…. -__-
Mine used to make my eyes water
mine isnt so bad but every once in a while i’ll get a quick build up of sound in one of my ears that cancels out all other sounds and ‘pops’ and then i have the ringing sound for a few seconds and goes away. anyone experience this before ??
That is so funny!…….not.
Hey, i’ve listened this video with a to loud volume..
I’ve got tinnitus!
tinnitus is bestimmt hart^^ ich kann mir das garnet vorstellen
is it possible to just have it cause i never go to concerts nor do i own an mp3 player
I’ve had tinnitus as long as I could remember, but it got way worse from me going to a concert. I didn’t know what tinnitus was and didn’t know my ears could get damaged this badly from one concert. My thinking was “I’ll just have this one night of fun and then go back to being careful with my ears like I normally am.” Umm… too late for that now. It really sucks because music was my life and now that’s taken away. I can hardly sleep because of how loud mine is.
I’ve read in a book that Fenugreek Tea can provide temporary relief for tinnitus(specifically, the cricket and ringing sound)
My father is an audiologist, trust me there is help. You can get what is called a tinnitus masker. It is like a hearing aid, but so small that when you wear it, it can’t be seen. It emits a constant sound that cancels out the ringing. I have had tinnitus my whole life due to a misshapen bone in my inner ear, I’m 20 now. I wear a tinnitus masker and it really helps!! It isn’t a cure, the tinnitus will never go away, but I can’t hear the ringing when I wear it. Ask a doctor about getting one!!
What really annoys me is that in this day and age they can do amazing things. Send people into space, uncover dead bodies thousands of years old and are still able to find out what they last ate and how old they were when they died. They have just found a cure for breast cancer, they have created robots that walk, talk and respond to us, re creating the big bang…..but still despite all this, the mystery behind curing a simple ringing in our ears remains un discovered!! It wont be long people!
I got Tinnitus in June 2009. So, its been a year, and its still here.
I still haven’t accepeted that I’ll probally have it for the rest of my life, I still hope that one day it will just go. It’s the only thing that keeps me going.
Don’t give up hope people.
i get this at the most random times, i could be in a class doing my work and everything goes silent for a second and then this high pitched noise starts ringing in my ear, or i can be just about to go to bed, and then it wont stop.
@greling you should go see an ear, nose and throat specialist. Chances are you could.
At 0:28 the sound makes my tinnitus stop. If only I could get a copy of a recording of that noise.
@bunnyboo1211 I can hear that when I yawn…
Ive had tinnitus for 2-3 years now and its all my fault.
My laptop’s speakers died and I used headphones instead and kept using them for a very long time.
I was just a kid back then.. I thought itd go away eventually, but now this unbearable noise will stay forever. 10x worse in the vid just like beopenminded1
Good luck everyone, lets all learn how to deal with these bitches in our heads.
I hear it…all the time…it really kills you from inside. Sometimes I just wanna scream to not hear the sounds in my ears for a little little while…
I had it for as long as i can remember, didnt know what it was, therefore I had no worries and i didnt think about it. Now that i know what it is and now that i have researched it, Im aware of it more often and concentrate on it more. It was always there, but if your brain keeps listening out for it, then it wont go away will it!!
EVERYONE HAS TINNITUS to an extent. Its the sound of our bodys working! It can just get amplified by loud noises, medication, infections etc. But seriously, Ask ANYONE do they hear a ring in complete silence and you WILL get a yes! Also its all in the mind partly, if you keep thinking about it, it will seem louder. try to shut it out.
I’m 46 now. It’s in my brain/ears all the time. Almost 6 years now. Partly due to high level of cholesterol and also stress maybe.
