Question by stickyicky: where in the computer can I find the “audio input device”?
i need this for a friends computer. on the sound recorder it says to check if the computer has an “audio input device” however it only shows an example and doesnt say where in heavens name it is on the computer.
we tried recording something but couldnt hear it and were not sure if it has a microphone preinstalled. any help would be gladly apprecited.

Well…
theres either a little jack that looks JUST like a headphone jack, but usually redish pink, and has a pic of a microphone above it.
Or, you’re going to have to get a USB connector for audio.
If your looking to plug a MICROPHONE into it, theres TONS of USB mics on the market, just check radioshack or other electronics stores.
If you’re doing something like “direct injection” you need a USB or FireWire recording interface of some kind
